The Bern Winter Trophy 23/24 (BWT`23/24 for short) started on 4/12 with over 100 participants. It consists of a qualification phase and a main round. The first stage is played in groups of 4 according to the round robin principle. The group winners in each category qualify for the main round. The final for the category winners will take place on February 11 (final venue to be announced). This is also the only fixed date of the tournament. The categories are limited to 16 players.

How does it work?

1) Qualification

In the qualification you will play self-organized in groups of 4, i.e. you have 4 weeks to play 3 ranking-relevant matches. You are either host or guest in each match. As host you are obliged to organize the match, i.e. to arrange the date via chat, to pick up (new) balls in the center, to reserve the court in the center and to report the result to the official via the TennisMatch app after the match. Two winning sets are played; match tiebreak (10) applies for the 3rd set. Attention "No Ad" applies.

2nd main round

In the main round , 1/2 finals and the finals are played per category depending on the number of participants. Each match is also organized by the players themselves. The date indicated in the Swisstennis tableau is the last possible date. This applies if the players cannot agree on another date.

3rd final

The finalists in each category then play against each other in the final. The tournament regulations are the invitation to tender, the TennisMatch regulations and the Swisstennis tournament regulations.
