The GC Winter League 205 is a self-organized, digitally supported tennis tournament for licensed and non-licensed players of the GC Couvert

Prerequisite for participation

You are eligible to participate if you

are readily available in February, March and until mid-April,
have the necessary regulatory knowledge and
are at least 16 years old.

Prices

The group winners will receive a Beliani voucher worth CHF 50.

Match organization and procedure

Players taking part in a self-organized tournament for the first time (so-called TM rookies) will receive detailed instructions by e-mail the day after the draw and can then download the TennisMatch app (TM app) for iOS and Android (*)
Visibility of matches: Matches will be visible to all participants on the TM app no later than 3 days after the draw
Contact opponents via the chat function in the TM app. (please reply within 24 hours)
Make an appointment and enter the match date in the TM app.
Court reservation by the host on the GotCourts system (1h) .
Playing the match. Game mode: 2 - winning sets of 4 games; 3rd set match tie break (7) ; "no Ad" (**)
Entering results in the TM app.

(*) So-called TM pros have already taken part in a self-organized tournament and already have the TM app. You do not need to take this first step. Please make sure that you have downloaded the latest version.

(**) As the match duration is limited to 1 hour, you must play quickly so that you can get through in 1 hour. Play-in time is 10 minutes. An important rule is therefore "no ad". "No ad" means that when the score is deuce, the next point counts towards winning or losing the game. The return player may decide which side to serve to.

About the TennisMatch app

Chat with your opponent and make an appointment with him/her. After the match, enter the result in the TennisMatch app.

You can download the TennisMatch app from the App Store using the user name and password you entered during registration. You will find the app under the keyword "TennisMatch". The host will then receive a request from the tournament director to organize the match. As soon as everyone in your group has the app, you can start using the app operationally and making appointments.
