This tournament is divided into a qualifying tournament (round robin) and a main tournament (knockout system). First, the tournament is played in groups of 5 according to the round robin principle. Four players per group qualify for the main tournament, which begins in mid-August and lasts until the end of September. The finals will take place on Saturday, September 28th on the courses of the GC Kartaus.

What's new?

  • at least 4 ranking-relevant matches in the qualification
  • approx. 60% of all players qualify for the main draw
  • Inter-club tournament with foreign players from the region
  • Flexible, individual appointments via the TennisMatch app
  • better planning of matches ("short sets", "no-ad"; match duration: max. 75 min.)

How does it work?

In the qualification, you will play in groups of 5, i.e. you have 8 weeks to play 4 ranking-relevant matches. In two of these four matches you are the host; in the other two matches you are the guest. As the host, you are obliged to organize the match, i.e. reserve the court before the match and report the result to the official after the match via the TennisMatch app or by email. As short sets (2 winning sets of four games and match tiebreak (10) and "no-ad" are played, a match should generally not last longer than 75 minutes, i.e. an extended lunch break should be sufficient.

In the main tournament, 4 rounds and the final are played per category in a tableau avancé. The first 2 rounds last 2 weeks, rounds 3 and 4 only 1 week each. Each match is organized by the host. The date indicated in the Swiss Tennis Tableau is the last possible match date. This date applies if the players cannot agree on another date.
